There are similarities, and a few big differences (other than the obvious ‘people’ vs. ‘animal’ one)…
Here are a few similarities I’ve noted in the past two weeks of new puppy ownership:
- They’re cute.
- They’re exhausting.
- They have a schedule and I’m stuck with it.
- I can’t get nearly everything done.
- They can only entertain themselves for a short time. Otherwise, it’s me.
- They wake up early.
- They make messes.
- Their toys are expensive.
Some differences?
- Puppy teeth: ouch!
- Puppies are housebroken much more quickly than children are potty trained.
- Vet shots don’t hurt.
The really big difference?
- I can put the puppy in his crate and leave him there for awhile!
Another similarity:
-They like to chew on whatever you most want them not to.

Your puppy has the most expressive eyes/eyebrows.
