Yes, I have heard that Christmas is a mere week away.  Yet I seem to be pretending that I’ve still got plenty of time.  Just a few of the things I haven’t done yet…

* finished shopping.  And, yikes!, now I’ll have to go to stores or pay for shipping.  Darn.

* mailed cards.  But hey, I did pick them up this week.  There’s sitting here looking so nice.  Too bad they’re not addressed, stamped or in the mail.

* given a single thought to the food we’ll need this week.  But I did pick up milk.  We have milk, and I’m sure we have another box of Cheerios, so it’s not hopeless.

On the plus side, our tree is up and the house looks festive.

You take what you can get, you know.
