If you’re looking for a post about T Pain, this isn’t it. You’ll have to check Hulu or iTunes for that.
Nope, this is a family friendly post, people.
This morning, we pulled ourselves out of bed early to catch a high-speed ferry across the big lake. The ride’s about 2 1/2 hours, just long enough for the boys to watch a movie ($4 each for headphones!) and for us to catch up on our reading while drinking pricey soda.
We’re heading to see old friends, a bit of a theme this summer, which hopefully we can continue next year. Here’s what I’m looking forward to: laughter, catching up, reconnecting, reminiscing, creating new memories, and, perhaps, a glass or two of wine.
What more could I ask?
Anybody else have plans for the weekend? Hope you enjoy yours, too.
You must be in my neighborhood! Have fun!
Hi Hip Mom. I'm visiting from BlogHer.
Our weekend was filled with playing in the water and attending a neighborhood jazz festival. (There are times when our funky, little neighborhood is pretty darn fun.)
I hope you had a great weekend!
I too was on a boat this weekend and posted "I'm on a Boat" in my facebook status and NO ONE got the T-Pain or SNL reference. I'm so glad to see you using it too!
We did have fun this weekend – church league softball tournament, marley & me, st. joseph venetian festival and the joy of carnival/festival food with our 2 girls, a day on the boat, pizza at marro's topped off with kilwin's fudge & ice cream. LOVED IT!
Hope your boat ride was good. Waves & weather were very non-July for us…
Hope you had a great time with friends! Friends and summer just go together. And of course so do boats!
I am so grateful that you didn't share our experience on that ride!
