When we mention that we have a cottage, there are a few images that people undoubtedly have. Maybe this…
Or this…
But for the last several visits, it’s been nothing but this…
See, friends, this is a lot of work. This is not relaxing on a hammock or scorching ourselves on the beach. This is very hard work, especially when you are trying to install tongue-in-groove beadboard on a 100+-year old ceiling, with a HAMMER. Don’t worry, we got smarter. THIS weekend we borrowed one of those nifty contraptions that shoots nails out with a big burst of air. (Thanks, Fred!) Love it. It’s like a staple gun on steroids.
And, thanks in no small part to that nifty contraption, we are making serious progress.
Now for the floor…
Remodeling is always hard work, but oddly satifying.
That’s so true, Heather. “Oddly” is right!
Looks great Kirsetin! I’m jealous you even have something like that to remodel…all morning long I was on the internet looking for a project just like yours. I want an escape place BAD!!
I’m glad to see you are putting those boys to work, at least! 😉
